This plan packet includes four small trains. They are a steam work train, diesel freight train, diesel passenger train, and steam passenger train. Full-size plans and patterns are included for each train. All these trains are the same size and can be hooked up for one long train. They are also interchangeable with the small steam train above. The overall dimensions for each train is: diesel passenger 3 1/4" wide x 3 3/4" high x 17 1/2" long - steam passanger 3 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" over stack x 18 1/2" long - diesel freight 3 1/4" wide x 4 5/8" over caboose copula x 17 3/4" long - steam work train 3 1/4" wide x 5" over crane stack x 17 1/2" long.

American Locomotive Plan
Plan No. 201

This American locomotive is adapted from one of the early locomotives to be used on US rails. This wooden toy is 4 inches wide by 13 inches long from cowcatcher to end of the tender. With a bit more detail than some of our smaller trains, this wooden toy may be better suited for display on a shelf.

Passenger Cars (for the American Locomotive) Plan
Plan No. 202
 
These passenger cars were designed to be used with the American locomotive. There are four cars in the group which include a baggage car, combine car, coach car, and observation car. Each car is 11 inches long and the four car train is 44 inches in total length. Several coach cars could be built to make the train longer. These woodworking plans include full-size plans and patterns.
