Simple Birdhouses and Feeders of Wood is a book that shows you how to build six birdhouses, six bird feeders and a bird water platform. These original designs are the work of Ron Tarjany, the author of this book. Ron, an experienced wookworker, designed and built these projects over many years. He took breaks often to watch the birds enjoy the fruits of his labor. All the projects are simple designs. Many can be built quite quickly; a few will take a little longer to build, owing to the many parts. These projects include the Carolina wren birdhouse, Western Wartin birdhouse and the multi station bird feeder.
There is also a chapter on mounting the birdhouse or feeder and ideas on how to errect the mounting pole. Another chapter covers designs for making a predator guard to protect the birds that visit your feeders and nest in your birdhouses. Each chapter covers one birdhouse or feeder and is complete with detailed instructions, line drawings, photographs and list of materials. These birdhouses and feeders are ideal for the backyard garden also to give as gifts.
